Festive Greetings
What a year!
November
For our topic, we did a Viking museum. All the parents came in and had loads of fun - writing runes, playing Viking board games, admiring our longships, taking part in a tricky quiz, listening to our Viking stories on the ipads, and playing a Guess Who game.
In this month, we also went to the cinema to see Percy Jackson - Sea of Monsters. This action-packed adventure had us at times at the edge of our seats. Star rating ****
December
This month has seen us brush up our knowledge of all things to do with the Solar System. Do you want to know a catchy and fun way to remember the position of the planets in the Solar System? Here are a few gems to enjoy:

Near the end of the school year, the school went to the King's Theatre to see Peter Pan. This is a must-see show about a boy who never grew up. This side-splitting show will have you in tears (of laughter). Star Rating: ****
The P1s performed an excellent Nativity production called Hey Ewe. They worked so hard and it paid off in the end, as they displayed their fantastic acting talents. P1s weren't the only stars. The rest of the school worked their socks off, preparing to perform the songs at the Nativity. Our song was All I Want for Christmas. Mariah Carey, be warned, you have competition!!!
Just before the holidays, P6 and P7 had their Christmas party in the school hall. We gave the stars of Stricly a run for their money as we tore up the dancefloor with our funky moves. The next day we recovered by watching a movie called The Croods. In class, we got into the festive spirit by making Christmas decorations, making and exchanging cards and having a Christmas-themed quiz.
P6 wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Please tune in to our blog next year. Our resolution for next year is to keep it updated more frequently!
